Rune 네비게이션 깜끔하게 장착하는법

OK, here are the steps I took to install my version of the Zumo mount.
First, place a towel or padded cover over the tank to protect from dings & scratches.

1. 제가 네비를 장착한 방법을 사진과 곁들어 설명하겠습니다. 설명의 아래부분 사진을 참조하세요. 만 마디의 말보다 한장의 사진이 훨씬 더 효과적입니다.

먼저 작업하기전에 탱크에 부드러운 천을 덮어 혹시나 작업도중 공구나 부품이 떨어져 상처가 나는것을 방지하여 주십시요.

Remove the 4 bolt caps and 4 bolts from the upper handlebar holder and remove cover.

2. 상단핸들바의 아래 그림에 표시된 4개의 볼트캡과 볼트를 풀어 커버를 제거하십시요

Gently lower handlebars to tank and be aware of the tension on the wires that run inside the bars.

3. 아주 조심해서 핸들바를 탱크위에 내려놓습니다. 이때 핸들바 안쪽으로 묶어져있는 여러전선들에 무리가 가서 늘어지거나 끊어지지않게 조심하십시요

Remove the single bolt holding the indicator cover and remove.

4. 인디케이터를 체결하고 있는 나사를 풀어서 인디케이터커버를 제거하십시요

Remove the two screws holding the indicator cluster in place and pull indicator cluster out of the way.

5. 인디케이터 클러스터를 고정시키고있는 두개의 나사를 제거하고 인디케이터 클러스터를 살짝 제끼십시오


The location to drill and tap the 1/4-20 threads is circled.

6. 래그림에 위치된 장소에 드릴을 사용 1/4 20 스쿠류용 구멍을 뚫으십시요


Here is a closer look at the drill location. Just make sure it is centered and is at the depth (front to back) you need.

이사진이 구멍뚫은 장소를 확대한 것입니다. 구명이 한가운데 위치하여야하며 깊이는 필요한만큼 하면 됩니다.


Once you have drilled and tapped the hole, ensure all metal shavings are removed from the indicator housing/handlebar holder.

Reassemble components. (reverse order of disassembly)

Here is how the threaded hole looks from underneath.


Here is the Ram Mount 1 inch ball with 1/4-20 threads installed in the newly threaded hole.


I use one of these standard 1 or 3 inch inch Ram Mount arm depending how close I want the Zumo to me. Most of the time I use the 1 inch.


This is the custom bracket I fabricated for the back of the Zumo mount. I wanted the Zumo to sit higher and this did the trick.
Easy to make. For the ball mount, I used a female 1/4-20 1 inch Ram ball with a screw
through the plate.

Here is the finished product!

When the arm is tightened down, this thing is solid as a rock. I had it mounted on the handlebars

before I did this and I really like this mounting much better. The BIG plus is you can remove the

Zumo if you don't need it on a ride and you can't even tell anything was ever mounted there.
